So I got given the chance to read Steal the sun by Stephanie Kelley.
I’d never heard of her before so was eager to give her a go, and wow! I am so glad I did!
The cover isn’t one that would usually draw me in, but they do say don’t judge a book by it’s cover!
Kodiak Sesi is a hunter… not the type that hunts game… She and her brothers hunt “others” these are creatures such as vampires and werewolves but also include shifters such as selkies/mermen etc. (Have you seen Grimm? Think of wesen and how they can woge).
Intrigued? So was I!
Steal the sun follows Koda and her brothers as they hunt others and try to find out who’s been committing a series of murders around their Alaskan home.
I absolutely love this book and fell in love with it within the first sentence. Kodiak and Rhen are such powerful characters and the mystery of their back story kept me up and reading all throw the night!
I highly recommend this book to fans of paranormal romance and fantasy as well as fans of Grimm and probably Supernatural (sorry never seen and episode!)
Definitely a 5 star read!
In the words of Oliver “Please sir can I have some more?”
If you only do one thing tonight, get your hands on a copy and read!
Sorry for such a long gap since my last post, I’m currently busy reading an unedited ARC of The City of Vikings by Farah Cook so have been making lots of notes to email her.
Because of this I thought I’d do a post about a book I read earlier this year.
The dead list by Jennifer L Armentrout.
On the way home from a party Ella is attacked, she manages to get away…. But then things start to appear. A clown mask on her bed, a dead bird in her locker.
Why is she being targeted and is she the only one?
From the start this book grasped me around the neck and yanked me into it’s pages. I loved the story line from start to finish and I didn’t manage to guess the killer which for me is a huge deal as 9 times out of 10 I’ve worked it out before the author tells us who it is.
If you’ve read one of her books before, like me you’ll know you’re in for a treat. If you haven’t then this is a brilliant chance to sample her work.
